Job Description – Lead Land Legal wind

 

 1.  To advise land acquisition team and other functions on existing central & state land acts and statutory laws governing the use of Agricultural/Non-Agricultural land for the power generation in the various regions to ensure the land is utilized as permitted by the governing laws;     

                                

2. To ensuring all land related functions on the sites follow relevant governing acts and laws and is responsible for all land laws related compliances;  

 

3. To ensure preparation of summaries and correspondences for legal issues/disputes, Drafts and reviews informational letters, advisory letters and advisory opinions on moderately complex legal issue; Support in planning a strategy and represent the case for legal filing and proceedings. Leads and articulates a persuasive legal argument/presents in the face of opposition or inquiry. Ensures all matters are addressed in the specific court/ legal body within strict timelines; to ensure legal clearances for land assets to be used for the power generation projects Manages legal documentation and supports externally hired legal advisors/ consultants, central teams, bidding teams and regional teams with any required assistance Reviews the preliminary requirements for the land assessment and acquisition process for the upcoming projects to ensure continuity; Prepares a checklist of all litigation tasks, legal documentation, statuary processes to be followed in order to manage the land resource effectively; Performs a documentation review oversight to ensure exhaustive filings as required by the government authorities and courts;                     

 

 4. To consider end-stakeholder needs & recommends inclusion of solutions to senior management; Interpret the strategic direction developed for the function and remodels the processes or ways of working to ensure alignment; Implement strategic objectives & develop metrics to assess attainment of work unit goals; Ensure team objectives are consistent with the strategic plans;

 

7. Proactively identify needs for additional systems, controls or governance; and escalates or responds appropriately; Evaluates compliance regulations on a timely basis and guide team members regarding the importance of the existing compliance procedures in place;

 

8.  Implement mitigation plans and evaluate the effectiveness/results; Create resolutions and recommendations based on incident investigations to provide greater protection to ReNew; Recommends corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues.

 

Deliverables:

 

1.To provide continuous seamless, error free documentation support, pre-acquisition title verification support to land acquisition team;

                                         

2. To monitor the process on regular basis and keep on improvising the same; 

 

3. To take care of all land litigations and ensures all matters are addressed in the specific court/ legal body within strict timelines;

 

4.   To assist Corporate finance teams in creation of mortgage in a timebound manner and resolve the queries of the LLC;

 

5. To act as a depository of all original land and compliance related documents;

 

6. To take care of all land related compliances and ensure the land is utilized as permitted by the governing laws;

 

7. To recommend corrective action plan for problematic issues.
